Description

Background

Ingeborg is a much younger cousin of Duke Bernd Gabel. While she was initially nudged towards a knightly education at a young age, it was horses that truly fascinated her. She demonstrated a fabulous degree of aptitude as a rider. Her education ultimately pivoted towards all things horse-related. She spent years studying the detail of training and breeding, as well as tending them when wounded or ill.

In 628, Ingeborg was charged with oversight of those parts of Westgate held directly by House Gabel which are involved in horse breeding. Though technically she is an administrator with broad oversight, her interest is truly in the horses themselves. A noble seeking new horses for themselves or their soldiers might very well approach Ingeborg for advice. Of course, any matter of actual commerce is dealt with by commoners employed for just that purpose, but Ingeborg still has great insight.

Personality

Ingeborg talks to her horses. She talks to people, too, but horses are less frequently disagreeable. She doesn't much care for disagreement on the whole, and tends to steer clear of conflict, which is, unfortunately for her, not always the very best of habits for a person in a position of authority, and family members may occasionally need to pick up after her if she leaves a situation unresolved.

She is excellent with horses though, and they can cause her to go from mellow and mild to positively animated. Even at a young age, she is a superlative trainer, and horses which she has had a hand in raising are sought-after, even among Westgate's already excellent stock. She rides well enough that she is sometimes looked for as a trainer, whether for young nobles or even by experienced knights seeking further advice.

Notable Traits

Ingeborg is an excellent horse trainer, breeder, rider, and veterinarian, to the exclusion of much else.
