Exalted Sufet Irreth Anadun

Songs will never be truthfully sung about this woman's looks, for she is no great beauty. However, she has a dignified poise and regality that is gods given and then refined by human experience and tutelage. Hair as dark as strongly brewed tea is cut bluntly to just below the apples of her cheekbones, resting alongside eyes as blue and brown as silty water. Though her skin is only lightly tinted by the sun, it could easily bake and hold a darker tan. She is half a head taller than most other women and lean, her frame elegantly coltish.

Irreth inherited the position of sufet from her mother at in 625. An ardent socialite through sher younger years, she had been broadly prepared for the particulars of oversight of her house and direction of the many people who administer Anadun's holdings. Her very first step was to appoint her childhood friend, a commoner, Berenice, as her chief minister. It was not until 630 that she ever felt particularly enlivened by the responsibility of rule though, when faced with a crisis, as Min Nome was attacked by the hobgoblin Tizken, who ruled a Plains Kingdom. Irreth had no great training in how to conduct a war, but she found every soldier she could and marched to Min. After routing the hobgoblins and ogres there, she continued all the way to Tizken's kingdom, and laid waste to much of it. There, she freed a significant number of slaves, most of them humans from elsewhere in the Plains Kingdoms, though a few Hadashis too.

On her return, and after a victory against the Plains Kingdoms in the wake of ten years of neglect by Misic Rannal, many lauded Irreth as being beloved of the Sun. She had seen the danger and scoured it away, just as the Sun does. She had found people in need and seen to their safety, surely guided by the Sun. Beyond that, Irreth found in the experience the potential to do more. Though she is not from any sort of military background, nor do the Anaduns maintain a consequential army, she has her eye set on righting more such wrongs.

Irreth is very much a people person. She enjoys people. Even more than that, she likes when people enjoy her. She does not like it one bit when someone or something interferes with her people, and her retribution against the Kingdom of Tizken perhaps did not take those closest to her entirely by surprise, even if it flabbergasted those who knew Irreth better as a warm, personable presence.

Since she discovered just how much so many people liked her when she stood up for them, she has found a new source of drive. She is more than happy to take the moniker of Beloved of the Sun and to live up to it in full. Neither Salthos nor Elthos are short of opportunities to do so, in whatever capacity she can.

Irreth is a fine leader, at least in times of peace - whatever about her reputation, she has much yet to learn of war.
