Lord Reinhold Gabel

One might assess this nobleman's frame as delicate, dainty, perhaps even fragile for his height and the frame of his skeleton not being thoroughly filled up. Regardless of his whip-lean composition, though, he is brimming with vitality and exuberance. Eyes as green as the darkest, most highly polished emeralds, alight often in conversation or at new scenery, and it takes very little for him to smile. His sable locks are kept short, but as always suggested into the most fashionable of stylings.

Reinhold made for a passable if sometimes inattentive student of court life and even a modicum of politics in his younger years, while his twin sister, Verena, took to it all like a duck to water. From the point where he was permitted to set off of his own volition, though, he more or less made straight for Sanctuary, and spent a whole year there without once returning home, until he decided that he did in fact miss his family. He hasn't quite spent such a long stint away again since then, but if he is at home in Lest, then it is almost a given that he will host guests before long, and that he will spend his downtime displaying the very best of Sanctuary fashion in the ducal hall in Lest, or strolling the streets.

He is a second cousin to the current duke and so somewhat far removed from the main ducal line, though he does still carry the Gabel name. Considering Bernd's general demeanour, these two points may collide, eventually, but they have not yet. His own sister has grumbled at him from time to time, though. Reinhold does know that the Gabels face a host of problems. He just doesn't seem too worried about them.

Reinhold is a dandy and a fop, through and through. He is always dressed in the height of whatever is fashionable in Sanctuary. In fact, he might even sometimes set the trend of what is fashionable. He flits from party to party, and when there is no party, he can still often be found in company. He's one of the favourite people of the tailors of Sanctuary, and they in turn are some of his very favourites too.

All the problems that beset Southreach don't seem that problematic to Reinhold, really. What does it matter if nobles are quarrelsome, he might reason - they will still stand up if needed when the time comes. This is mostly carefree optimism rather than a wish to dismiss duty. And as for duty? Is it not most noble to be so visible at court? It has worked for him so far.

Reinhold is a socialite through and through, and a snappy dresser.
