Countess Silja Lindner

The eldest child of Gerhart Lindner, who vanished in 629, and Petra Lindner, born Petra Karalis, a younger sister of Countess Elene Karalis, Silja was generally expected to become countess of Inethmeet. She just wasn't expected to become countess at the age she did. She was trained in the particulars of military command and of rule, but in better circumstances, she might have had years more of practice as heir before having to be in charge herself. It wasn't to be though. In early 629, her father went north with a contingent of soldiers to support House Sikorin in an expedition. The expedition failed to make any of its scheduled check-ins by messenger, and later into the year, search parties set out, with Silja leading an even larger force from House Lindner. They found no sign whatsoever of her father or his company.

There was little left to Silja after that but to go home. She was named Countess of Inethmeet without any incident, and took up her seat. There are no domestic issues for the Lindners to deal with to speak of. The county is not especially large nor wealthy, but it is stable, and it is enough. Silja's concerns are far more in places far afield, and so she seeks to continue to do what her father did, and support causes which are right. They are big shoes to fill, and she is still getting used to it.

Silja takes each day as it comes. She rarely dwells on long-term matters. To her, there is the here and now, and usually something worth doing in it. It might be a military matter of some fashion, but not always. The Lindners have always maintained a significant presence at court, and so Silja does the same. She is bold and assertive, and quite happy to call out what she perceives as wrong. It might lead to arguments, but she doesn't hold grudges. To her mind, she was offering education, and she can just continue to offer further education. As is common among members of her house, she is a devout adherent of the Cult of Valon.

Silja is an adept commander, with much more modest experience in courtly matters.
