Exalted Alissa Rannal

Thin and delicate as a pussy willow, what this woman lacks in stature and grandiosity of form, she makes up for in magnitude of being. Her eyes are wide, bright as polished nickel, often given the appearance of being large as an owl's with an application of kohl, and her mouth is generously full. A faint lick of sunshine has caressed her skin, giving warmth to its otherwise smooth ivory color. Her hair is whisky dark and brushed to a board straight and shiny length to her shoulder blades.

A second cousin of King Misic, Alissa's parents had intended for her to hold some administrative post in the royal court. This was looking promising for a time, and she assumed oversight over certain functions in Jewel. Then Misic became king, and everything began to get more difficult.

Alissa continued to and still spends quite some time in Jewel, using her Exalted status to nudge one matter or another along, particularly where commoners are left uncertain after one of Misic's directives. However, more than that, she realised that the whole realm exists in a state of uncertainty due to the king. She has spent quite some time visiting other Hadashi houses to hear out their concerns and address them where she can, or at least sound reassuringly like she is going to address them.

Alissa has a deep understanding of Hadashi society, and being that she is blessed by River and Sun, she takes it as a personal responsibility to ensure that Hadash stays stable and secure. Right now, that is far from a certainty, and it is for her to provide certainty, whether to other nobles in Hadash, its common people, or indeed imperial nobles in Elthos, who she believes might be a source of aid, even if she does not like the idea of them having too much of a hand in Hadash. This role as a self-appointed diplomat can be quite all-consuming, although she occasionally remembers to take time for herself.

Alissa has a thorough understanding of Hadashi politics and how to administer its civil systems, and strives to maintain balance.
