Description
Almost always armed with an affable smile, this man, despite his well-manicured appearance, is no stranger to the elements. Though his skin is darkened from the sun, it, and his lush, finely shaped beard, are well oiled, smooth, and scented with the subtle hints of rare botanicals. His gaze is bright, a warm amber color beneath the sharp, clean frame of his black brows and his jet black locks are perpetually styled into a gentle curl, obviously unknowing of the concept of 'hat hair'. And despite the obvious strength in his hands and limbs, any calluses that might try to exist upon his noble frame have been diminished by constant, elevated care.
Background
Anath Heshbeh's childhood in Pearlsedge was not particularly remarkable, except that he had no interest in the lessons about the intricacies of commerce that anyone sought to impart. He was far more interested in the arid plains spanning from the Pearl Sea to the fertile land about the Emerald River, and even in the Pearl Sea itself.
As an adult, he began to wander. The plains don't necessarily have much to see, unless one likes seeing even more plains, and occasional semi-nomadic herders. Anath would spend days at a time, then weeks, travelling. Then he started to go farther still. He crossed the Emerald River and went west, as far as the fringes of the Plains Kingdoms. Then on other journeys, he sought passage on ships to cross the sea from Salthos to Elthos, and roamed there. He returned to Pearlsedge for a time at one juncture to accompany his younger brother, Cham, on his voyages.
Sanctuary has proven to be an excellent hub for his travels, a source of ideas, and a place to find travelling companions. He frequently returns to it, even if he is always considering the next place to go.
Personality
Anath is deeply passionate about travel. The prospect of seeing places, new and old, drives him ever onwards. The people he meets along the way are part and parcel of that. He doesn't hesitate to engage with anyone he might meet. He is assured and generally amicable. He often travels with company. Not everyone recognises his nobility, after all, and he's not much of a fighter.
It never occurs to Anath that his lifestyle might be regarded by some in Elthos as anything less than noble. After all, he is noble, therefore whatever he might do is inherently appropriate for a noble to do, and so his constant travel is of course a noble undertaking.
Notable Traits
Anath is an adept traveller, good at surviving in and exploring the wilderness.
