Description
Background
A second cousin of Grand Duchess Zaria Albalaski and older brother of Henryk Albalaski - among many other siblings - Donat was a lively youth, much taken by art from an early age. Reaching adulthood, he spent much of his time among the many artists resident in Vilslev. This became the primary way in which he undertook his duties to his house, indeed, since the Albalaskis have always been strong patrons of the arts, and Donat became a key link with them.
In 630, with the retirement of the previous curator of the Ice Gallery - actually rather a pleasant spot, despite the name - Zaria named Donat the new curator. He leapt to the task with ample enthusiasm.
Donat spends his share of time in Sanctuary too, with the same focus on the arts. He persuaded his younger brother Henryk to take more time away from outdoors pursuits to focus on art too, and the two sometimes collaborate on schemes.
Personality
Donat has an abiding love of art and is really rather enthusiastic about it all. He is happy to sponsor even questionably capable artists, at least within reason, believing that there can be great results even from questionable starts. He has extensive links among the artistic communities of Vilslev and Sanctuary.
One might very well hear Donat before they see him, at least if something of interest has caught his eye, being that he is more than happy to proclaim to all within earshot exactly what he thinks of art. He can find something good to say about almost every piece he comes across.
Notable Traits
Donat is an excellent artist and spends his time socialising among artists, by and large.
