Lady Efthymia Aetos

Efthymia is a first cousin of Duchess Melissa Aetos and part of the young generation that seized power even in the face of other possibly claimants. She is the oldest of three siblings - her younger brother, Kimon, has frequently been her co-conspirator in various endeavours, while their youngest brother, Theon, has also been involved but more because they drag him with them.

Efthymia once upon a time took a shine to the operation of vineyards, and has stuck at it ever since, to the point that she has been granted oversight of the house's vineyards - of which there are plenty in the Duchy of Malthini. She is in fact not a very good vintner and no amount of enthusiasm is likely to change that, but on the bright side, she has a staff hundreds strong who know their trade, and the vineyards were one of the parts of the duchy not to decay under the poor rule of Phyllis.

Fortunately, she is very fine indeed at extolling the virtues of wine, and her family encouraged her to Sanctuary to do just that.

And party. That too. So much partying.

Efthymia, or simply Effie as she often presents herself, is effervescently bubbly and bright, so much so as to outdo her brother Kimon in some ways, and to make people wonder how the two could possibly be related to Theon. She loves life and she loves people. She loves vineyards too, but she is a terrible vintner, and her staff have to carefully work around her more outlandish proposals.

Effie's more recent time in Sanctuary has thrilled her. So many people! She shows up to virtually any and every party, apparently intent on charming her way through the entirety of the imperial nobility. Sometimes, she brings a bottle of wine, and if people are very lucky, it's one that somebody else was responsible for making.

Efthymia can often dazzle people in her one to one engagements, assuming they take to her particularly brand of bubbliness.
