Description

Background

Felicja Sikorin is a second cousin of the boyar, Sigitas, and older sister of Natalia Sikorin. Felicja and Natalia's mother, Aneta, is a Sikorin, while their father, Nico, born Nico Karalis, is a distant relative of Countess Elene Karalis. She demonstrated a strong aptitude for the theory of warfare from a young age, as well as a remarkable talent for music, which she nurtures in her own time.

House Sikorin's military doctrine is based around numerous small units dedicated to reconnaissance and harrying hostile forces, fast moving forces of cavalry, and other, larger infantry units stationed at various fortresses to take the fight directly to the enemy. Felicja has spent years leading one of those infantry forces or another. Hers is not a role of careful surveillance or perilous travel with just a few companions, but of marching with banners raised to face the foe directly.

Felicja routinely liaises with the Knights Custodian in Voivode's Rest and is well used to Custodians marching alongside her forces. This relationship has her in turn looking southwards from time to time. She visits Sanctuary as often as any Sikorin, well aware that the funds, supplies and arms that facilitate her soldiers to function at all come from far away, not from the tundra that the Sikorins call home.

Personality

Felicja is a mild-mannered and softly-spoken individual. She raises her voice only rarely, usually on the battlefield, though even there, she prefers well laid plans and clear contingencies for the officers under her command. She is patient and measured, both in war and in person. She is self-assured and confident.

She is a talented musician, a trait she happens to share with her younger sister, Natalia. She visits Sanctuary often, as so many Sikorins do, and while there, she is as likely to be found at a musical soiree as she is on the Field of Siegfried. Music is her passion - if there was a world in which she could in good conscience simply retire to play and to sing, she might, but that is not how the world is, and she knows there are few more able commanders than her.

Notable Traits

Felicja has a superb grasp on the theory of war. She is an able musician.
