Description

Background

Iannat received a broad education typical of her generation of Anaduns, with a grounding in matters administrative and diplomatic, and in her case, more mathematics than most people would have a need for in a lifetime. Coming into adulthood, though, she took a specific interest in medicine, and she travelled to learn. She has been to the House of the River in Jewel - the home of many mystics and medics - and to the Houses of Healing in Sanctuary, and has a broad base of knowledge.

She has brought her knowledge back to Anadun's domain and seeks to apply it there. No small amount of her time there has been given to educating others rather than working directly. She has arranged funding for those willing to take the time to learn and taken the unusual expedient, prompted by what she saw in Sanctuary, of having much treatment be free.

Personality

Iannat wholeheartedly believes that she is blessed by the River. Her medical pursuits are nothing less than a divinely-appointed task. The River has bestowed her with talent, drive, and the position to give life, but it is up to her to follow through and do so. She can be frustrated when she finds hurdles in her path - that is not how it is meant to be - but does eventually continue to find a way. She is quite open to ideas from elsewhere. Dogma on the River's reach beyond Hadash can be fuzzy - it is obvious that the Sun is everywhere, after all, but less so the River - but she has wondered if she has spotted glimpses of it in what Elthosians call Yatric or Adri, or even the northern totems. She is a frequent enough sight in places beyond Anadun's domain; her mission is all-encompassing, and she can always learn more. She owns a few horses, which are rare in Hadash, and is a fine rider.

Notable Traits

Iannat is an able medic and scholar, and a fine rider.
