Description
Background
Irma Vanzek is the youngest sister of the late Queen Aldona Vanzek. Irma has spent a lifetime as a diplomat and a strident advocate for the interests of the Crown of the Commonwealth. She frequently represented Aldona both within and beyond the Commonwealth and is well used to the imperial court in Sanctuary. Irma also had a hand in garnering support in the Commonwealth for her nephew, Victor's, election as king. She was the first to publicly put his name forward, and indeed pre-empted Victor himself in being able to do so, or even Zaria Albalaski, his strongest supporter.
In the years since Victor's election, Irma has continued in her advocacy. She leaves her nephew to conduct his business without interference, but she does stay abreast of his policies and plans, and has remained as firm a supporter of the Commonwealth's interests as ever.
Irma is married to Boguslaw, a warrior from a minor house that happens to also own land in the Prosna Valley.
Personality
Irma is strident and brisk and always has been. Getting older has not mellowed her one bit. She was a queen's sister and is now a king's aunt, and takes it as a personal responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of the Commonwealth, as if it were as much in her hands as that of her family. When she knows what she wants, she can be firm to the point of overbearing, and is dogged and relentless in pursuing whatever it might be, from trade arrangements to military support. Her demeanour scarcely changes even when involved in leisure pursuits.
Notable Traits
Irma is a forceful and firm public speaker, and is politically savvy.
