Jerzy Sikorin

This man is wispy in every respect: so much so that he might be in fear of a strong breeze carrying him away like a downy tuft. Though he has the same build as a string bean, there is muscle there, cleaving out sharp lines beneath his skin. He is blanched pale from avoiding the sun, and he likely too opts out of manual labor, given how little in the way of calluses he has upon his palms and fingers. Cloudy blond hair might just puff off of his head too, though at the very least, his jewel green eyes seem socketed firm into his skeleton.

A second cousin of the current Boyar Sigitas Sikorin, Jerzy grew up in Voivode's Rest, as so many Sikorins do. And indeed as with many of his family, he was tutored in how to fight and to command, though when he demonstrated a fine aptitude for numbers and for the range of skills needed to maintain House Sikorin's fortresses, his education was pivoted to focus on that.

Jerzy has spent years working to maintain and to build defences. More than that, he knows how to do it in the extreme circumstances presented by the Expanse, and he understands the logistical difficulties of moving material and labourers to the fortresses. He has worked on everything from Voivode's Rest itself to a few utterly forsaken outposts farther north than where anyone at all dares live.

In Sanctuary, he frequently lectures at the the university. He keeps abreast of the theory of engineering and has even lodged a couple of treatises of his own.

Jerzy is jovial and jolly. His work brings him a particular joy, though perhaps to the peril of those who do not share his interest in engineering and might find themselves subjected to an impromptu lecture about it. Even in the bleakest parts of the Expanse, where the eerie sights of the Terror might manifest on the horizon from time to time, Jerzy, once he has work to do, remains upbeat even then. He is well liked by the various people who work under his direction. While he works on military matters, he would never wish to be mistaken for a warrior though. He has been in a few fights, as places he has been working on have been attacked, and can acquit himself passably, but it does not motivate him much.

Even at court, he leans towards matters relating to his work. He puts great value in the sharing of knowledge, whether by him or by others. He frequents various social functions, where he is as jovial as ever.

Jerzy is an adept and learned engineer and a good organiser.
