Lord Kostas Kournis

Kostas was just two years old when his uncle, the late Aeson Kournis, took the throne of Dyria, and has not known a time when his house was not the royal house. His parents had been long time residents of the city of Elis, and split their time between there and Sanctuary. Kostas was sent to the university in Sanctuary to study in his late teens and early twenties. Although he did actually engage in some academic work, he became far better known for the often raucous parties he hosted.

In the years since, he has mellowed, slightly. He somehow retained rather more knowledge than anyone expected, and has even put it to use on his family's behalf. He has continued to be an enthusiastic host, though usually with at least a little more planning and forethought than he had when he was younger.

Kostas might sit in a library to read and, seeing a friend come in, stand to greet them as boisterously as he possibly could and announce to the whole library that his friend had arrived. In fact, he would do that wherever he is. Kostas does not really believe in the idea of keeping his voice down. He is cheerful and lively, and wants to share it all with everyone around him. If left without someone he knows nearby for too long - that is, a few minutes, give or take - he will make it his task to know whatever stranger he happens to set eyes on. He frequently hosts social gatherings, and is quite an accomplished planner of them.

He is quite well read, and while he does not involve himself in family business unprompted, he will enthusiastically share his knowledge on any given topic upon being prompted.

Kostas is a cheerful, boisterous socialite, and quite well read.
