Description
Swept back often into an intricate map of braids is hair that could be either red or brown, depending upon the day, the light, or the colors this young woman chooses to wear. Though her palms hold the faint scrape of calluses from some sort of manual labor, her skin is otherwise smooth and pale as a spectre. Her eyes are the color of polished steel and a smile, in human company, is rare upon her pretty mouth.
Background
was just a child when the Greenwood War came around. When much of the house relocated from South Valley to Greenwood, the young Leontine was struck by the forest as they travelled through it. Much of the duchy might resemble South Valley, but not the eponymous Greenwood. It was and is something special, a forest vast and ancient even by the standards of the often densely forested Elthos.
She spent many of her formative years thereafter seeking stories of or even lessons about the wood. Come adulthood, in the wake of some measure of formal training, she was named Warden of the Greenwood. Hers is, strictly, a position of ensuring the resources of the forest are used in accordance with the duke's laws. She has subordinate rangers for much of the day-to-day of that though, and much of her time is given over to roaming the woods herself. She does emerge often enough to return to civilisation, and has taken an interest in travels elsewhere.
Personality
doesn't necessarily mind people, but sometimes, the wilderness is much more interesting. She loves the Greenwood. She loves wilderness in general, indeed. The best sorts of people, to her, are those who might make for good travelling companions. She has a duty to House Salfeld, and Warden of the Greenwood is in fact a lofty appointment, but she is driven by a deeply engrained care for the wood more than she is that duty.
When she attends , she likes to keep company with likeminded people where possible. She is not completely uninterested in the functions that characterise many high society gatherings within the walls of the capital, but if the prospect of a journey, or even a local hunt, should arise, she becomes markedly more animated.
Notable Traits
Leontine has excellent woodlore and is spry and able to move quietly.
