Description
Big, night sky blue eyes dominate this gentleman's otherwise plain and serious face, though further attention is often drawn towards it from his slightly too-big ears that sit beneath a close-cropped crown of dark brown. He is taller than most in any given locale and has an unusually slim build for one who moves with such a confident warrior's grace.
Background
, son of , was steeped in the tales of valour of his ancestors throughout his youth and received extensive training at arms. He served his uncle, the late Count Gerhart Lindner, as a knight for a few years. In 626, a small force from House Lindner had gone to supplement those of Houses and in seeing off ogres from . Manfred saw a squadron of from Voros in action there and was so impressed by their performance and their steadfast discipline that he spent a while with them before returning home after the other Lindners, whereupon he sought his uncle's leave to join the order.
That leave was granted, and Manfred went to to seek to join the Custodians. Being of noble birth, he was admitted as a knight. In the years since, he has been assigned to the Sanctuary chapter, the knights of which rarely deal with issues in the vicinity of Sanctuary - there simply aren't many - but rather travel here and there to carry out there duty.
Personality
believes deeply in the duty he has from being born noble, and the duty he has taken on as a member of . These are the driving forces behind all that he does. Although his responsibilities to the order supersede those to his house, he tends to find that the two are often one and the same, much to his satisfaction. He is something of an ascetic, tending to dress simply and eat plainly, and even though better lodgings are available to him, when in , he ordinarily resides in the barracks of the Custodian chapterhouse. He does not expect this of others, because others, of course, do not have the same duties that he has. He still attends the same social functions he might have before joining the Custodians, and there he shows an occasional inclination to be amicable, inherited from his father.
Notable Traits
Manfred is an adept warrior and horseman, and is calm and steady.
