Description

Scruff clings to and almost softens, in its cloaking obscurity, the kris-blade sharp angles of this young man's face. Beneath the thick and blunt parasols of carob brown eyebrows rest cornflower blue eyes that are constantly narrowed in skimming observation of his surrounds. He is not short, nor tall, neither skinny, nor fat, but rather 'just right', for someone who appears as well-traveled and having endured the elements as he has.

Background

was raised in , born within the confines of its mighty walls, but from an early age, he was taken by a dangerous fascination with the wilderness far beyond it. He received his share of martial training, alongside his younger brother, , intended by his family to be a military leader one day, but when he came of age, he eschewed military office, and instead set about learning all he could about surviving in the wilds. It is common enough for a Karalis to take to adventure, and he found ample help in learning what he needed to know.

Over the years, he has frequently roamed into , travelling here and there. His travels do not necessarily have a set purpose, although he has come to learn some of the major routes across it, and he has been able to observe the movements of various tribes. His journeys have not only taken him there, though; he has also gone west, into itself, since much of that is still rough and wild. When he has visited , it has often been to keep company with other adventurers.

Having been injured on one of his ventures, he was treated in a village on the fringes of the Red Waste, and thereafter took some interest in the worship of or .

Personality

travels for travel's own sake. He is drawn to the wilder places of the world. The vast is on the doorstep of his home and makes for an obvious place to set off to, but he will go elsewhere as the idea or the opportunity arises. While he is content to keep his own company, he is generally glad to travel along with others. He does not make for the most loquacious of travelling companions, and when it comes to social engagement back in civilisation, he is downright quiet. Though rarely spoken about, he is an adherent of the god , or divine being , and he believes in helping injured travellers who he might come across.
