Penelope of Wayguard

Eyes a brilliant honey brown are framed by long, auburn lashes that match the shade of her coils of shoulder-length curls. Her features are strong, and perhaps a touch too big for her oval face, such as her nose extending perhaps a fingertip too long and her mouth being a smidge over-full. Her frame is lean, tall, and lanky, though there is something of an unusual grace that encompasses the entirety of her long limbs.

Penelope's family has long maintained a shop in Sanctuary called Worldspine Wonders. The shop's name pre-dates the dwarven exile from the Worldspine, and they have kept it ever since. Her family is of Dyrian origin, and while they might very well spend much or most of their time in Sanctuary, they have always remained subjects of House Karalis, being that their goods are sourced from dwarvish merchants in Wayguard. The dwarves rarely care to travel to Sanctuary themselves.

Penelope's parents opted to move fully to Wayguard in 631, and still deal with some elements of the business there. That has left Penelope as the main operator of the family shop in Sanctuary. Dwarvish work is high quality indeed and frequently in demand, whether high-end tools or homewares. She does occasionally get queries about weapons, but the dwarves keep those very much to themselves.

Penelope was raised in an environment where every person one might meet was a potential business contact. Beyond that, she rather likes to think that every person she might meet is a potential friend. She has a decent head for numbers, but is finer still at making acquaintances and making herself available should someone have a need for goods. Hers is the primary source of dwarvish wares in Sanctuary, and there is always steady demand. She is a frequent sight at various social functions, where she is quick to ensure that any unfamiliar faces do not remain a stranger for long. Wealthy though she is, she is very aware that she is not a noble, and that she and her family do in the end rely on being subjects of House Karalis to sustain their business, so she sometimes assists directly with their interests.

Penelope is a competent businesswoman and well used to Sanctuary's social scene.
