Description

Thick and tall as a minotaur, this man looks like he cracks skulls with his bare hands and sucks the brains out for breakfast. A tangled mop of far too oily brown waves does nothing to obscure the tactical sight of his mist blue eyes. His limbs are thick as tree trunks and he stomps around gracelessly when out of combat, as though the world were a bog he is endeavoring to conquer.

Background

is a second cousin of the current boyar, , and younger brother of . As with any Sikorin, he had a weapon placed in his hand and was trained how to use it from a young age, and then proved to be an excellent horseman, too. When the time came where he was actually faced with danger, in a skirmish with creatures from , he scarcely even flinched.

Over the years since reaching adulthood, he has seen umpteen such skirmishes. He was on duty elsewhere, on assignment with a force which also included his sister, when Rasa Sikorin, former boyar, went missing in 629, and joined every search party he could.

Though maybe not naturally disposed to go to , Radek has had the importance of the southerners drummed into him, with such simple facts as how all his weapons were paid for with a southern's money, and so he obliges his family by going to court. There, he spends much time among other warriors and frequently participates in martial contests.

Radek has not yet sought any position of particular authority. His status means that he can move from unit to unit within House Sikorin's forces as he will. His presence is usually welcome, since he is a formidable warrior.

Personality

Bold, brash and blunt, doesn't exactly cut a suave figure at court. He is rather like his older sister in that regard. He's a man for whom the greatest problems in life, namely the fiends of , can and must be solved by violence. Much of his time is spent honing his ability at arms. Even in , that is his focus. He has no particular aspiration to lead, but if pressed, he will do so.

Radek's first reaction when faced with danger is to charge at it. It is just as well then that his companions or superiors tend to remind him that this is not the way of or of : they must assess danger first and seek help. He's getting there, but still has moments of impetuousness.

Notable Traits

Radek is a fine warrior and horseman, and has virtually no social nous.
