Sotiris of Wayguard

This man is tall: if people could be as tall as buildings, it's obvious that his skeleton would try to reach those heights. His dishwater blond hair is curled and maintained in style usually with some sort of product, and sits still due to this, like his very own cupola at the top of his (very far away to most) skull. His figure is a study in sharp lines and angles, and this is particularly notable in the very dominant cut of his cheekbones and in the long, dexterous fingers that extend from his hands. Though sometimes hard to see for a person of average height or below, his pale brown eyes are often squinting beneath his broadly angled brow.

Sotiris is from a family of burghers resident in Wayguard, accustomed to dealing with local trade. He is an only child and his parents paid out the substantial expanses required to have him educated in Myos, in architecture and engineering. He returned to Wayguard, an accomplished student, and has done some work for House Karalis. Although most of it has been on superficial elements of the fortress, since the ancient stone never seems to require maintenance, it gave him the opportunity to study it. He spent years trying to fathom the secrets of Wayguard's construction, but ultimately much of it was beyond him, and is, as far as he can discern, quite beyond even the dwarves. Still, it gave him ideas, and he has taken to putting them to use.

Eventually opting to travel farther afield, Sotiris has over the years been to various places around Elthos, including Sanctuary. He has travelled to various sites and spent time studying their construction and, where welcome, offered his own input on them. He is in quite some demand by those noble houses, who deem that the insight into dwarvish construction is worth paying a premium.

Few people are as palpably excited about architecture as Sotiris. If he happens to be travelling with company, they can expect to be regaled with extensive accounts of how whatever notable monument they see was built. While he commands a substantial fee for his work, some have wondered if he would do it all for free if a novel enough project was placed in front of him. He relishes it all, whether the familiar or the novel. He's a bit oblivious about who he might be speaking to at any given point, or the circumstances, and once spent half an hour telling King Aeson Kournis all about the construction of his own home, without altogether realising who it was.

Sotiris is an excellent architect, particularly when it comes to the design of fortifications.
