Zimrad of Pearlsedge

Wealth oozes from this older gentleman's pores like richly saccharine honey from an exquisite comb. It is obvious, even at a glance, that every oiled black hair on his head, in his beard, and that composes his eyebrows, has been cut with deft precision and that his frame, thicker with age now, has also been aided with an abundance of food and drink. Despite his blatantly obvious affinity for indulgences, however, his skin is fairly unblemished, though peppered with fine lines, and his teeth gleam with a slightly predatorial always-pitching-a-sale shine.

Zimrad's family has long been in the service of House Heshbeh, operating as a factor in the lucrative trade with the Cornucopian Realms that flows through Pearlsedge. Zimrad grew up wealthy, even by the standards of the already affluent city, and was immersed in commerce, though none the wiser than anyone else about the Cornucopian merchants, who are happy to buy and sell but say nothing of their homes, nor even the routes they take to reach Salthos.

In 624, Zimrad married Tenera, owner and operator of his favourite Pearlsedge bakery. The two have three children.

In 626, Zimrad, well known for his mercantile acumen, almost as much as he is for his sometimes outrageous demeanour, was placed in a senior office indeed, in overall charge of House Heshbeh's trade. He excels at the position, though it has done nothing to mellow his manner.

Zimrad is even spicier than the Cornucopian spices he purveys. He is never hesitant about passing comment and is usually so boisterous that everyone in any given room might very well know all about it. He is well known in Pearlsedge and beyond for his larger than life presence. Beneath that outer layer though is a sharp mind for numbers, for how people think and, putting those two things together, for commerce.

Zimrad holds the Heshbehs in the utmost regard. They have brought generation after generation of prosperity to Pearlsedge and to Zimrad's family. While there are many things that he might make light of, his service is not one of them.

Zimrad is adept at commerce and in many social situations. He's also quite unfit and probably shouldn't be asked to undertake any athletic feats.
