Cinderkin
are possibly the least understood of the non-human races of Elthos and Salthos. They are accumulations of ash and cinder, shaped into humanoid and sometimes animal forms. They originate from , a peninsula west of , far removed from the empire. They make sound, a harsh, grating noise, but nobody knows if it is language. They carry weapons of crude manufacture. They are slow, cumbersome beings, but strong and difficult to destroy. Destroyed cinderkin dissolve into ash and dust.
Cinderkin are rarely seen beyond the Scorchlands. The has apparently brought a number to fight in its wars. People in the empire can for now only speculate about how that was arranged.
